With great pleasure we announce that the 42nd Vernadsky/Brown Microsymposium on Comparative Planetology will be held in Moscow, Russia at the Vernadsky Institute of Geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry on October 10-12, 2005.

The Microsymposium is being organized as a joint effort by the Vernadsky Institute, Moscow, Russia and Brown University, Providence RI under sponsorship of Russian Foundation of Basic Sciences. Any topics related to planetary science are welcome.



The registration fee (~ US $150) will be used for organizational expenses. Unfortunately we do not have a possibility to support financially your participation in the meeting.

If you intend to attend the Microsymposium, please inform us by fax or email as soon as possible. The deadline for abstract submission is September 1, 2005. Abstracts of your talks of up to 2 pages long made in LPSC format may be sent electronically either to atbas@geokhi.ru, or planetology@geokhi.ru, or albert@geokhi.ru. By the same date, please inform us of the type of presentation you would like to give: oral (10-15 minutes plus 10-15 minutes for Russian translation) or poster.

Please fax or email your exact arrival and departure dates and flights not later than ten days before your arrival so that we can arrange for you to be met at Moscow airport. To execute the documents for receiving visa we need to know not later than September 1, 2005 your:
