The RELAB Public Spectroscopy Database contains spectra measured in the RELAB that are older than 3 years. Each year additional data are added in the summer. Specific collections identified by users for public release prior to the automatic 3-year release can be added as they become available. A Catalogue Folder contains the RELAB Catalogues which can be searched for desired information and Data Folders contains RELAB Spectra.
USGS Digital Spectral Library Home Page
Researchers at the USGS Spectroscopy Lab have measured the spectral reflectance of hundreds of materials in the lab, and have compiled a spectral library, including composition and descriptive material. The libraries are used as references for material identification in remote sensing images.
This library consists of thermal infrared (2000 - 380 cm-1) emission spectra of over 150 pure minerals, with an emphasis on common rock-forming minerals. Samples include silicates, carbonates, sulfates, phosphates, halides, and oxides. Each mineral spectrum is accompanied by descriptive information in database form, including physical and compositional information, sample quality, and a comments field to describe special circumstances and/or unique conditions.
The ASTER spectral library includes a comprehensive search tool which allows you to search the library database for your material. The search returns a list of materials that match your search criteria, you can click on any of the items in the returned list to see a scaled plot of the spectrum and the ancillary information information for the spectrum, you can also download the spectral data.
Provides information about mineralogy and is primarily dedicated to providing information about color in minerals and access to data on Mineral Absorption Spectra in the visible and infrared regions of the spectrum and Raman spectra of minerals. Most data on the server were obtained in the Caltech mineral spectroscopy labs. Other types of spectroscopic data on minerals are also available.
