Fellowship and Scholarship Programs

The fellowship and scholarship program enables undergraduate and graduate students to pursue their research and academic degrees. They are also an integral part of our science education outreach activity. All Fellows and Scholars devote 75% of their time to their studies and research and 25% of their time to science education outreach activities organized and coordinated by RI Space Grant.

Space Grant Graduate Fellowship Program

Enables graduate students to pursue graduate studies and space related research in science, math or engineering.

Space Grant Undergraduate Scholar Program

Encourages undergraduate students to explore space-related science/math/engineering or education as a career.

Space Grant Undergraduate Summer Scholar Program

Supports undergraduate science/math/engineering students, especially those who may be uncertain over their career choice. Summer scholars perform outreach activities but also experience a research project during the summer with an advisor in their own department or field of interest.

Brown-NASA Space Grant Scholars Program

Designed to provide financial aid to students who are interested in math/science/engineering and to encourage them to pursue this interest. Uses matching money from other University initiatives.
