2007 Summer Scholarship for Undergraduate Students

The duration of the scholarship is from June 2007 through August 2007 and consists of total stipend up to the amount of $4,000. Summer Scholars are expected to work full time (37 1/2 hours per week) and to devote 75% of their time to a research project with a faculty advisor in their own department and the remaining 25% to outreach activities in science education for K-12 teachers and children throughout Rhode Island.

To apply for this scholarship you must be:

  • A U.S. Citizen
  • An undergraduate student who is beyond freshman year
  • Concentrating (or intention to concentrate) in any space-related field of science, math, engineering or other (previous recipients have included geology, neuroscience, psychology, anthropology, physics, engineering, and biology students)
  • Interested in space-related outreach activities
