Outreach Scholarship for Undergraduate Students 2006-2007

The duration of the scholarship is from September 2006 through May 2007 and consists of total stipend up to the amount of $4,000. Scholars are expected to devote a maximum of 8 hours per week (averaged over the academic year) to outreach activities in science education for K-12 children and teachers throughout Rhode Island. The outreach activities are flexible, variable, and interesting.

To apply for this scholarship you must be:

  • A U.S. Citizen
  • An undergraduate student who is beyond freshman year
  • Concentrating (or intention to concentrate) in any space-related field of science, math, engineering or other (previous recipients have included geology, neuroscience, psychology, anthropology, physics, engineering, and biology students)
  • Interested in space-related outreach activities
