Science en EspaƱol Scholarship for Undergraduate Students
The duration of the scholarship is from September 2005 through May 2006 and consists of total stipend up to the amount of $4,000. Scholars are expected to devote a maximum of 8 hours per week (averaged over the academic year) to curriculum support in science education for K-12 children and teachers throughout Rhode Island. You will support ESL classroom teachers with science instruction and serve as role models for students. Creation of hands on activities for the students encouraged.
To apply for this scholarship you must be:
- A U.S. Citizen
- An undergraduate student who is beyond freshman year
- Concentrating (or intention to concentrate) in any space-related field of science, math, engineering or other (previous recipients have included geology, neuroscience, psychology, anthropology, physics, engineering, and biology students)
- Interested in space-related outreach activities
